How is this different from the gym software my box uses?
That software runs the gym. WODBase tracks your training.
How is this different from other CrossFit logging apps?

What data does it collect?
Email, workout logs, and basic crash and usage telemetry. No ads, contact scraping, or location tracking.
Can I export my data?
Yes. CSV export on demand.
